Studio production built by people who've stood in the control room.
spotlumix is a UK-based team of camera operators, lighting designers and sound engineers dedicated to making television news and live show production run smoothly, from the first cable pull to the final broadcast.
Our story
spotlumix began as a small crew of freelance camera operators fixing rushed studio installs for regional newsrooms. We noticed the same problems on every job: cameras plotted without thought for the show format, lighting that flattened presenters on screen, and audio that clipped the moment a second microphone opened.
Today we work with broadcasters and independent studios across the United Kingdom, building studio floors, control rooms and live show workflows engineered for the pace of real broadcast — not just the demo reel.
Every project is led by engineers who have operated cameras, run sound desks and called shows from the gallery themselves, so the workflows we design hold up under live pressure.

What guides every studio we build
Precision First
Every camera mark, light cue and audio level is planned and tested before your studio goes live.
Built For Broadcast
We design for the realities of live television — tight turnarounds, breaking news, no retakes.
Long-Term Partnership
We stay on after installation with maintenance, crew training and on-air support.
